Welcome, I’m Allie. I’ve been living in an RV full time since 2020. I’m on a mission to get the answers nomads and future nomads need to live a happy life on the road.
This is the first of many articles talking about the different aspects of nomadic living. So what better way to kick off the new direction my website and YouTube channel are going than to talk about the benefits of living nomadically.
WHY I LIVE IN AN RV FULL TIME
Everyone has their “why” they live on the road. Below are some of the benefits I find are important.
I’d like to start with the positive, of course, since I ABSOLUTELY LOVE living this lifestyle.
Explore New Places
Since I was a little girl I felt the need, yes NEED, to explore our world. I thrive on learning and sometimes visiting new people and places.
Living in an RV I get the pleasure of seeing our beautiful world!
Meet New People
There’s always something new around the corner – a new trail, view, Starbucks, grocery store and one of my favorites, always new people to meet!
John and I have met 100s of people from all over the world in our travels. It’s always our aim to meet as many people as possible with a smile. This seems to show others we’re very willing to talk. This approach rarely fails so we’ve had the pleasure of meeting and learning from many people around the world!
Healthier Mind, Body and Soul
Another amazing benefit to living nomadically in an RV is we’re healthier. I eat better since I don’t have access to fast food most of the time; we make our own food in the trailer. I get outside everyday, weather permitting. John and I are either taking simple walks that are great for our mental health but most days we get out for longer bike rides and/or hikes, this is not only great for mental health but physical as well.

Being in nature fills my soul with happiness. This is where my ancestors, ancestors thrived for 1000s of years and I firmly believe this is where we are meant to be.
Bottom line : We feel ALIVE!
WHY PEOPLE LIKE TO LIVE NOMADICALLY
I did a deep dive online to find out what others say are advantages to living on the road as a nomad. I found many talk about the same consistent reasons. Those reasons are below.
What say are the benefits of living a nomadic lifestyle
