Meet Minnie Rambles : My Class C RV

Minnie and I met in July 2020 and it was love at first sight! At least for me it was, she’s taken a while to accept me.

I was shopping for a van yet the one I was checking out had missing parts, vital parts, like the hose to fill the fresh water tank. The dealer was selling the van “as is” and I didn’t want a van to then fix it up. I wanted my RV and I wanted it now. Just kidding, I was looking for quite a long time for the right one to roll into my life.

When the deal was off and I wasn’t going to take the van. I guess I’ll continue my search.

Then I saw her.

She was sitting alone, no other RVs were near her. She was shiny and all 26 feet of her was looking good!

I asked the salemen if she was available and to my delight she was!

As I approached her I envisioned being parked in the forest amungst the trees with her. Or in the warmth of the desert. Or sitting at the beach chillin with a cool drink.

She was my ticket to empty-nester, mid-lifer, queen of the road freedom.

I sat in her for hours. Checking this and that. I checked her exterior as well.

I gotta tell ya, she was a looker!

The decision was made – I had to have her.

I made an offer and the dealer accepted. I bought my first home! (Besides the one I had with my ex-husband of course.)

Since then Minnie Rambles and I have traveled 30,000 miles from California to Florida and all over the southwest. Her favorite place is the Arizona deserts where rust is never a problem and she gets to stay warm.

Minnie Rambles has been my constant companion since July 2020. She’s taken us up forest roads in Colorado I never thought an RV should go. We’ve slept on the beaches in Texas and stayed 30 feet from a swamp in Florida. We’ve parked at Walmart and truck stops as well as places with the most breathtaking views I never thought I’d see.

She truly is a wonderful RV!!

In terms of RVs she’s made solid. Considering the bumpy roads we stay on in public lands, she has taken a beating and I think she actually likes it! I think she thinks she’s a jeep!

I love my Winnebago Minnie Winnie.

She’s my home and my adventure buddy. We roam large!
